About
Since 1999, Jackson Square Lavender Festival has celebrated health, herbs, the environment and local creativity in Historic Jackson Square. Founded by Barbara Ferrell of the Ferrell Shop, the festival quickly became an important day in the life of Jackson Square, bringing thousands of visitors into the area on the third Saturday of June.
Lavender Festival promotes the arts in our region by offering local artisan vendors a place in which to sell their products, and has become an important sales venue for them.
Live music and children’s art spaces further promote the arts.
And the festival also offers a yearly contest among K-12 students in Oak Ridge Public Schools to be featured on the annual festival poster.
Lavender Festival is supported in part by the Tennessee Arts Commission. Purchase a specialty license plate in Tennessee to support the arts like Lavender Festival!
